Daily Gold Eagle Update

April 2, 2009 - The Saint-Gaudens price continues to hold on strong despite the spot price of gold falling about 3% for the day due to optimism that the United States financial crisis may have ended. Many Americans don’t understand that global governments have pumped billions of dollars into their economies in order to get to this point, and inflation or even hyperinflation are usually the end result of such actions. Today, world leaders are gathering at the G20 Summit in London in order to discuss their response to the worst economic crisis in generations, and market analysts believe that only a short-term resolution will be created at this meeting, which in turn could be dangerous for us in the long term. United States equity markets are trading significantly higher today yet the MSCI Index of stocks is still down 4.2% while gold and the Saint-Gaudens price is up 5.2% for the year. This could be the ideal time to diversify into precious metals while these physical possession bars and coins are still available.

Today the Saint-Gaudens price remains unaffected by fluctuation with the gold spot price that currently sits at $899.20 per ounce, tumbling 3% for the trading day but still up 1.71% in the last 365 trading days. Short-term projections are saying that the metal could begin to rebound next week due to higher safe haven demand after more negative economic data becomes released for February. Invest well and don’t forget to diversify into gold Eagles if you feel that your portfolio could benefit from owning them.
