Daily Gold Eagle Update

March 11, 2009 – Gold Eagle value is beginning to rebound due to investors and manufacturers purchasing the metal in order to take advantage of the recently seen one month low. The strengthening equity markets and increased confidence in the United States economy caused the gold Eagle value to drop 4.4% in the past two days. One of the main reasons why the metal is beginning to increase in value again is because investors are witnessing an increased risk with equities and the economy that could leave them in a bad situation in the future unless they protect their investment portfolio with a safe haven asset like gold. Despite the recent illusion of confidence, financial markets are still experiencing mayhem, and for example the number of United States foreclosures during February reached 121,756, which is the most we’ve seen in a month since the beginning of the financial crisis in December 2007. Times are difficult for the majority of people, so tracking the gold Eagle value and entering a historically preservative and profitable market before it’s too late could make a happy investor if things get any worse.

During the midday trading hours, gold Eagles are increasing in price due to the spot price of their consisting metal reaching $907.40 per ounce, up 1.13% for the day and also up 1.39% for the month yet down 6.76% for the year. One of the recent short-term projections that I have read come from the CEO of Silver Capital AG, predicting $1500 per ounce by the end of the year.
